Such a mild but modest problem

This shirt is so soft I wanted to snuggle into it. However, it's just not something my kids wear comfortably. The white transparent material starts just below the breast and is so thin that the navel shows through. I really dislike constantly buying another shirt to wear underneath.

Firstly please note that this top is basically a crop top with sheer white material underneath. I understand that everyone understandably has different preferences for their children, so this is an important thing to keep in mind. I think the high rise shorts look great underneath. Although my daughter is a bit petite, that's probably part of it. A white tank top also looks great underneath. My 11 year old wears mostly medium sized tops.
