Sperry Top Sider Gold Authentic Original Men's Loafers & Slip-Ons: Style meets Comfort Review

I believe they are real gold goblets but I think they were a bit defective and sent to Zappos. only problem. The sole is always slightly larger than the upper. I still have 3 pairs of gold cups and have compared them to other shoes. Basically everything is in place except for the sole, especially on the inside of the shoe, it sticks out 3/8 inch more than it should. The color is amazing. Probably one of the best colors. It took me a while to buy and feel comfortable in a pair of Boaters so I started with a few different pairs of Sperrys, a pair of original two- Eyes and another made from recycled plastic. When I tried the Gold Cup, it was like a Rolls-Royce Topsider. Very comfortable with a classic look that will last with good care and well worth the extra money. I would suggest wearing them with panels not visible to protect the leather insoles so they last longer.

They are so soft. It's hard to go back to normal Sperry. Two things: the leading edge of the insole rises on both sides within 2 minutes of putting the shoe on. If left, the leather will crease badly and the shoes will deteriorate. I pushed the leather backing back and re-glued it with kahn cement. Stable for a few weeks. They arrived mostly untaped.
