not worth the money.

I didn't buy mine here but I have a pair and I can tell you they are no better than some of the cheapest boots out there. They come off easily and don't fit very well. You buy a name.

Pros
  • My son loves the fit (true to size) and the look!
Cons
  • Design is unattractive and outdated

Good value for money, my pros and cons

I've been buying these for years now - a bit disappointed with the lack of color choices but wear them for a year as smart casual, BBQ etc - another year as "not so smart casual" for fishing trips etc... and finally year around the workshop/garden when they usually start to fall apart and (at this point) the lack of profile makes them dangerous on grassy slopes, although they are still mostly waterproof due to accumulated deck stains and house paint. There are no complaints.

Pros
  • Haven't worn yet but fit well.
Cons
  • The size chart is wrong, so the shoes don't fit.

Consistently high quality

I was looking for a replacement for an irreplaceable pair of the same casual shoes I had received as a gift. Couldn't find it so I searched the internet and tried these. After about a week I find these shoes better than expected and quite satisfactory. I would recommend them.

Pros
  • Looks great and sits great. Arrived on time!
Cons
  • Wasn't happy with the product, they look more like a rock.

shabby/worn look looks terrible

I had about ten pairs of these when I was younger, wish they were in a nice color scheme and not this silly worn look. I get the style is cool but my pair had occasional white stripes all over the shoe. They look awful and I should have listened to the reviews

Pros
  • Good fit and comfort
Cons
  • The sole on the heel is already worn out in just 2 months from the date of purchase.

I think these are not real Sperry shoes.

I previously wrote a review describing two different pairs of Sperry shoes that were sent to me and both of them were defective. So I reordered the same shoes directly from Sperry. This pair is very different from the two defective pairs I received through Walmart. The shoe line is completely different and fancier; lacing is much better; and they fit much better. The only conclusion I can draw is that a pair shipped direct from Sperry and both defective pairs shipped through a Walmart dealer…

Pros
  • Our grandson was very happy with his Christmas present.
Cons
  • Easy to stain and difficult to clean

White cream color

Although the color is listed as "white", it looks more like a yellowish white due to the addition of salt. This is particularly noticeable as the elastic around the sole of the shoe is actually white, making the fabric appear more yellowish.

Pros
  • Fits great and very comfortable.
Cons
  • The rubber at the bend of the shoe has come loose. Bad processing.

I took half a number more than my actual foot size, I ordered a wide one, but it's still too narrow for my right foot. However, as I get older it becomes very difficult for me to find shoes that fit me. I want them to be very wide around the toes but narrow or flexible around the heel. With a little surgery on the right shoe, this is the best pair I've found. As I cut through the right side panel of the trunk, I discovered how well made it was - a very thick side panel. I cut out the flap for…

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Big upgrade on a classic design

I bought these Salt Washed Striper LL CVO's to finally replace a pair of Striper CVO Color Pops I've worn almost every weekend for the past 5+ years. They have the same basic design, which I love, with the same good fit and build quality as before. I'm sure I'll wear this pair at least as long as the previous one. There is only one big difference in these new CVOs that I can tell: the insoles have improved somewhat at some point since I last bought them. Sperry couple. With an old pair, it…

Pros
  • Brilliant performance
Cons
  • Great price

Smaller and narrower than previous Sperry Top-Siders. I had

This is my 5th pair of Sperry Top-Siders, my first pair was bought over 30 years ago. They haven't changed much in quality, but this latest pair appears to be a whole size shorter and narrower than previous boat shoes. My Sperrys [Size12 Medium-Width] are more like [Size11 Narrow-Width]. I compared them to my worn previous pair. The external dimensions are identical, but inside the new pair is better padded, which explains the smaller internal dimensions. The new removable insole is a slight…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not bad but...

I love these - I threw away the laces before I even put them on! The shoes slide great and don't worry about the outsole - these are full grip boat shoes with no hard spots. Unfortunately some of them are good with Sperry Half Grip and Half Slip outsole! They don't last that long - maybe 1/2 year before puncture occurs in the sole - but they have a good boat sole and the spandex holds them up well without laces. I've been ordering these for years and sometimes the same size hurts my toe and…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Generally ok but...

Not as comfortable as other Sperry shoes I have

I bought these after wearing a pair of Sperrys for over 2 years they have been among the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They were pretty disappointing from the start. After only a few months of normal wear, the glue came off in some places and they fell apart a bit (see photo). They weren't nearly as comfortable as my previous pairs. Thought I'd order the same pair as before but they are slightly different, they have a white sole whereas the comfy, traditional Sperry has a tan-yellow…

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Some minor things

Very large variations in degree of wear from salt washing. I only ordered 5 pairs and they all looked completely different. Some wore light clothing. While others had much coarser wear. Although out of the 5 pairs I bought from Amazon, 3 had already been returned or were defective. The seams of one pair had already come undone, the sole of one was not quite white and had probably been tried on. The last bad pair (white) had a water stain. I would suggest buying them from a store or buying a few

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Damaged
