Spicer 3 70 28X Bearing Strap Kit Review

Good material like all Spicer Dana materials. great quality and great value, don't skimp on making the difference between trouble and homecoming

Belts were fine, studs were about an inch shorter for my 79ft 14-stud corporate axle. Went to the local gear store and bought the correct $12 kit.

This worked for my 2000 Spicer 5-1410x Excursion rear axle U-joint. You will get two straps and four screws, just what you need to replace your gimbal. Nothing left to say. It works out. It is so easy.

The screws are as dry as concrete. I had to scrape this stuff off after the first bolt started spitting out the threads on my fork. Click and set color quickly. Other than that they were great

Trust me, always change a set of belts. The straps will stretch a bit during installation, so reusing is not a good idea. The Spicer is original on Fords and Dodges and I can say that even though the hex is 5/16 I've never had a bolt round. I've replaced quite a few hinges and straps and they always fit perfectly.

There is something wrong with the screws I received. They started well but halfway down they shrank to the point where I thought I would break them. (No, I got the size wrong). I ended up reusing the old rusty screws, which I wanted to avoid. At least the straps fit. Waste of money and time on a project that is already behind schedule and over budget.
