🔧 Spicer 5-7166X 1350 Series U-Joint Kit: Optimal Performance and Durability Review

I was worried it would fit my 2013 Rubicon. Reading online showed that about 50 percent of people said it would fit, 50 percent said it wouldn't. Luckily for me it was a perfect fit. Thanks very much!

This is what you need for a 2012 onwards Jeep Wrangler D30, the front axle is not Rubicon, they have changed the casting and you may need to sand the center a little to make it work perfectly.

If you have a Rubicon DANA 44 ONLY this is the right one, can't beat the Spicer quality, it doesn't work on regular DANA 44 JK DANA ONLY 44 Yes, there is a difference U-shaped connectors are larger than traditional DANA 44

Part received is SPR 1411 not SPR 5182 as shown in photo, SPR 1411 is 1" wide, SPR 5182 is 15/16. 1411 is a discontinued version of part number 5-7166X. I explained my problem and requested an exchange and still got the same casting number a second time when I gave up and took a loss and decided to buy elsewhere.

1 star because the hinge says it's for the Dana 30/44 axle shaft, but it definitely isn't! It's about an inch wider. I did a little research on the part number on the box and it looks like it's for the driveshaft yoke so I've decided to keep it in case it fits in the future. Except that it looks like a good part

They appear to be heavier and a bit larger than the standard gimbals. No grease nipples, they are advertised as lifetime connections. At first I thought they were too big, but they fitted with no problem. I used a ball press and a vise. A few others have mentioned that they had to file the outside edge of the axle forks to get them in place, but that wasn't necessary for my install. 09 Jeep Wrangler JKR
