Splint is a tool for statically checking C programs for security vulnerabilities and coding mistakes. With minimal effort, Splint can be used as a better lint. If additional effort is invested adding annotations to programs, Splint can perform stronger checking than can be done by any standard lint.
The best thing about splint is that it allows you to check your code in few seconds without installing anything or making changes to the source files. The only problem with this software is I don't think there are many other features such as syntax highlighting etc which makes the interface look very outdated.
