I needed more ports for my PS4 (controller, hard drive and headphones) and this was the best solution I could find. I don't know how long this will take, but everything works - and loads! The downside is that my gold wireless headset's connection suffers; it limits the range. Maybe I'm just tired of looking. The real culprit here is Sony: making such an "advanced" console with only two USB ports.

Works great, I need more USB sockets for my PS4 because I use one for an external hard drive, 2 for a dongle for my gold PS4 headset and I needed at least more one for my ps4 pro wired controller and ps4 only has 2 usb slots. I have a fan stand with extra USB slots, but my gold PS headset dongle melted, and this extended USB connection has a circuit breaker to make sure it doesn't happen again.

The USB hub worked perfectly for several months. It started losing power and I found that the cable had come loose from the USB socket inside. If I wiggled the cable at the connector it would work. If the USB cover were anything other than flexible plastic/rubber then gravity wouldn't affect it.

I needed a new USB hub to replace an old broken one that was somehow interfering with the Bluetooth signal from my headphones to my PS4. Anyway, I made and received this hub 3 days after ordering. I'm happy to report that I no longer have problems with the Bluetooth signal and every port looks like a true USB 3.0 port. I bought this to use with PS4 PRO. I plug an external drive into the console's left USB port and a USB hub into the console's right USB port. I have a Turtlebeach 800 wireless headset plugged into the USB port on the back of the console. I have a G29 steering wheel, an external fan and a wireless controller connected to a hub.
