G5 change correction in cables and connections

After tearing down the G5 case and its PSU and replacing the PSU internals with a Corsair SFX, my two socket Ivy Bridge hackintosh took two EPS and it fit on the bill. This little Corsair 600 in combination with that keeps it going.

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • -

Mandatory for PC motherboards with 2 CPU power connectors.

Yes, mandatory for PC motherboards with 2 CPU power connectors, such as B. the MSI X470 Pro Carbon gaming motherboard. Why does it have 2 CPU power connectors? One of them is used to power the processor, the other is needed for other purposes. So far there is no real information for what. There is no information about this in the mainboard manual, but I used this Y-adapter anyway.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Annoyed

Exactly as described

If you need to allocate additional power to another processor socket, it works as described. Not many power supplies have more than 2 CPU power connectors. EVGA SR-3 recommends using all 4. You may need to check the power supply to ensure there is enough power on the bus.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Fading

Great for RYZEN boards, my x470 had 8+4 pins

I needed this because my board needed 8+4 pins for CPU power. My power supply only had an 8-pin, but it split into two ends, which could also be split into 4+4. Good padding hides the wiring. I couldn't find another that shipped quickly, had a protective sleeve, and had a 4+4 (2x) split. A NOTICE. Make sure your processor's power rail on the power supply matches the processor's power rating!

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • High price

Solution to my needs

Ideal for 8+8 and 8+4 pin CPU power input configuration. A great alternative for those with a semi/non-modular power supply and only an 8-pin ATX cable.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • No insurance

Suitable for B550 Mainboard

I just started building a PC recently. The last two PCs required an 8+4 power connector on the motherboard around the CPU. Most power supplies only have plug 8's. So I needed a splitter and this cable worked great! Would definitely buy again.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Suitable for newer mainboards

Replaced my son's AMD FX8370 MB/CPU and GeForce GTX 970 with Ryzen 7 2700X, ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi and AMD RX580. Officially, ASUS Crosshair Hero VII Wifi has an 8-pin EPS power connector and a 4-pin EPS power connector, but it can work without a 4-pin connector. However, RGB can be compromised and my son has an RGB case and a new high power 750W modular P/S, but only an 8/4 pin EPS connector. With this splitter I can connect to both ports of the motherboard. There is more than enoughโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Socket for connecting to the CPU power connection of the power supply unit and two CPU plugs for connecting to the mainboard;
Cons
  • Very expensive
