Great pair of hiking shoes. Bought these for hiking in Arizona. Put them on straight out of the box and do two 8 mile hikes in very rocky, dry, loose and sometimes steep terrain and the shoe will hold up very well. I read reviews about this brand and everyone came to the conclusion that the size is too small. ASICS and Merrell's size 11 fits me. I ordered these shoes in size 11.5 and they fit perfectly.

I only took shoes once but this climb took 13 hours. My socks weren't the best. The shows went well but by the end of the day I had some good blisters on both feet as well as the top of my heels chafing with the back of the shoe. The fit seems good so I'll just have to look to the future. how they work. I think wearing them down with the wrong socks was too much effort to form a solid opinion.

This is my third pair of Ultra Raptors. They're great for trail running, hiking, driving, you name it. The toe box offers good protection and the outsole offers excellent grip in the mud (especially on descents). In addition, a first-class insole (no need to buy Superfeets etc.). I usually wear size US 12 and size 46 fits me perfectly. Great shoes for hiking. Used these shoes on a trip to Zion National Park and some surrounding areas in Utah and Arizona. Excellent grip throughout the ride and they dry quickly when wet. I bought a pair of La Sportiva Ultra Raptor Trail Runners for my recent PCT hike in Desolation Wilderness. Normally I wear a size 42, but with these shoes I had to go down to a size 43. Desolation Wilderness is a lot of granite, and there was a lot of wet granite for our hike. I specifically tested the Raptors' grip on wet, slippery, sloping rock. They stuck like glue.
