👗 Girls' Ruffled Knit Scooter Skirts by Spotted Zebra Review

Bought for my 8.5 year old active granddaughter. She likes shorts or leggings under skirts. They are perfect for summer. The elastic waistband was good for her as she has a small tummy. She chose them and is very happy with both. She normally wears a size 10-12 and we had to return the first ones we bought because they were too short. They were mediums. The big one was perfect.

The quality of the fabric seems to be fine, the colors are bright. But the skirt is deceptively narrow and runs small. My 7 year old usually wears a size 8-10 but this 10-12 was too tight! The style looks like the tiers/ruffles will at least flare out a bit and give a roomy fit, but they aren't. Even after taking off the shorts, it's still tight. These skirts seem to shrink in the wash. But it's hard to tell if they've really shrunk, or if the little layers are just curling up enough to make them shorter. After a few washes, these shorts will last just as long as the shorts underneath. In fact, you can see the shorts sticking out from under the last hem of the skirt. They just don't look neat after washing. I probably won't iron my 7 year old daughter's dresses before she wears them so these skirts are just too small as they roll up and
