The clamps appear solid and well made except for the rubber grip pads which are not bonded to the metal and are all loose. Half of it fell off on first use. The pads don't seem to matter either. You have to glue each one.

It was a good deal - the clips are solid and look well made, although the plastic protector comes off too easily. But the other day I was in a big blue store and they had the same thing for $1 each. I'm still not completely satisfied with my purchase.

But that's a minor inconvenience and probably easily remedied with some kind of glue.

If you overdo it and open them all the way they can fail and just twist, the spring inside is closed strong for the "cheap" exterior As mentioned, use them accordingly, otherwise get the $5 device.

These are high tension, universal, detachable clamps. You may need both hands to fully open your jaws. The main downside is the false claim that they have a 3" bore. They only open 2.5 inches. If that's enough for you, then they're a good deal. Revain and the manufacturer should correct the description. Two stars for lying.
