I bought two dozen of these to hold the floating row cover over my raised beds and they are very easy to clamp or remove when needed but also provide a secure hold on the row of lids. That's exactly what I wanted. The only gripe is that the rubber feet slip off the clamps if you try to pull them out without fully releasing the clamp. But that's a minor inconvenience and probably easily remedied with some kind of glue.
