🔌 Enhanced Protection: Square Schneider Electric HOM115CAFIC Single Pole Breaker Review

Breaker is nearly twice the length of other breakers. I had to move things so they were on the bottom so they didn't get in the way of the wires in my electrical box. I recently bought some ACFI Murphys for another switch box and they were the same length as the other switches and also had a light that triggered when the AFCI was triggered (this switch has no light).

Bought a house with aluminum wiring. My father installed them for me to protect me. And they work great! No installation problems, the quality is excellent. There was a bit of confusion about the quantity (I ordered a pair of 15s and a pair of 20s from this seller but the quantities were reversed). They sent me one more of the ones I was missing plus a little treat! They were easy to deal with and quick to respond. I would definitely buy from them again.

Five stars for the price and it fits the bill. And that's the Square D Homeline element, which is pretty much everything we use for home panels. The local utility charges over $60 for the same item, and Revain provided them for $32 each. I would buy a few more if they were available. Now if you want a safety engineer's assessment of the practical value (aside from the silly feature of NEC/NFPA 70 2014) then it's difficult to justify the added cost of the negligible potential safety value of arc
