Square D - Great Hammers

The only problem you may have with this hammer is that you have to mount it on top of the breaker panel. The connected ground wire is short-circuited. To get to the ground bar at the top of the panel you need to place this switch on top to get to the short wire bar. This ground wire is wire #8. Fairly rigid and thick. I don't think you want to weld anything to it to get to the bottom rail in your box.

Pros
  • Compatible with QO load centers, CSED and NQOD panels
Cons
  • I'll write later

Broken switch lever

I am disappointed to have received this switch in a mailer that was not damaged. The box it came in was undamaged. The plastic bag that contained the switch in the box was sealed and undamaged. And when I opened the plastic bag, I found that the lever that activates the switch was completely broken and split in two inside the plastic bag. This suggests to me that someone in the supply chain knew and ignored that the lever was broken.

Pros
  • 120/240V AC
Cons
  • Can't remember but something happened

I have 3 QO240GFICP switches for mine Bought a new GE hob and I had to return 2 of these and am considering returning the 3rd. I asked GE if it was possible to use a GFCI switch with my hob before purchasing the QO240GFICP and the answer was yes. However, each of the circuit breakers trips randomly, usually at night when there is no load. One switch trips more often than the other two. When I open the circuit breaker and disconnect the load, I can sometimes measure 0.9V between ground and…

Pros
  • Plug in design easy installation
Cons
  • High price
