2 reasons for frustration: 1) This extension doesn't support microphones. This is not mentioned in the product description and would be very helpful to know when purchasing. 2) The female end of the extension fell apart on first use (see picture). Not recommended for purchase.

Purchased for desktop use. I'm tired of not being able to get up or move around my cube without pulling out my headphones. I definitely wish I had bought this sooner. I didn't notice any loss in fidelity, but I don't use top-of-the-line audio equipment in the office either. However, no crackling or hissing like some inexpensive audio peripherals.

Use this at work to extend my headphones from tower to ear hole so I can move freely around my desk and not have to deal with the awful head tilt. You know the one you do just to leave your headphones on? Well this cable works like a dream, gave me no problems and now I'm dancing in my booth with unlimited mobility.

I have to return this. The connector does not stay firmly connected to the port on my phone. It switches from stereo to mono with every movement of the cable. I don't have this problem with the headphone cable, so I know it's not my phone's connector. I just needed a small extension cord so I could put my phone in my pocket at the gym. I only needed a 3ft extension, but the 6ft extension was kinda cheaper.

Great extension. Sometimes you will hear crackling and you just need to move or twist the headphone cable and the crackling will go away. I use this on my desk so it doesn't get abused like some of the other reviewers. Maybe that's why I have no complaints. Overall great for my use at my computer desk. I only hear a crackle every few weeks which is not enough for me to give it 4 stars - it does the job and the price is reasonable!

The cable is much thinner than I expected. It's not really a negative for me - I wanted to plug it into the jack on the back of my PC and plug my headphones straight into it, so I was a little worried about the heavy, bulky cable. It works and the sound is ok, so I'm happy with both the price and the performance. Just to be clear, I'm not an audiophile (if that's the right term).
