Successful upgrade of cassette and ratchet

Very happy with this cassette. In combination with a Sram chain and a rear derailleur extension, I upgraded my 11-speed to a 36-speed. No problem. I mixed Shimano and SRAM.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Only available in black

Returned product incomplete

I have never written a review before but the product received was clearly returned and I believe one of the gears was replaced as it was not in line. Maybe that's why they cost less than others at Revain.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Ideal for rides with speed and hills

This is my favorite Cannondale Synapse cassette with eTap. Speed when I need it and helps me enough to avoid granny gear on brutal climbs. Shift like in a dream with etap. I wish I could go 11-26 or 28 but this does what it's supposed to.

Pros
  • Satisfied for now
Cons
  • The list is long.

Works great with Shimano 105 RD-R7000 GS

I couldn't get an 11-34 cassette anywhere so I bought a SRAM 11-36. The chain was replaced because it needed an additional link or two to accommodate the 36 cogs and a small B screw adjustment was made after which I was in business. No trouble shifting in and out of big gear. Very happy with this purchase.

  • Price
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Perfect for 2x gravel/adventure bike

Worked great to restore my gravel/adventure bike. Pairs well with Shimano 105 GS derailleur - no need for a suspension extender. Provides the perfect middle ground between a wide range of gears and too many jumps between gears. I use it with a CX 2x (46/36) setup and never feel like I can't find the right gearing for the cadence, nor do I run out of low gears on steep gravel climbs or high gears on faster descents.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Operating speed

SRAM quality is cheaper than Red

Force quality cassette. I use this on my 2x Shimano GRX gravel bike. Shimano says 34t is the max size you can use with a medium GRX derailleur, but I had no problem getting this 36t to work. This is Shimano's standard spline system for road bikes and fits 10 and 11 speed hubs. Shifts well and seems like it will last a while. I paired it with a SRAM chain and a Quarq crank for crisp shifting. 11-36 combined with 2x in 46-34 gives me serious gear for gravel climbing and more range than 1x.

Pros
  • Enjoyable
Cons
  • Volume

All Red features at 1/3 price

With SRAM it sometimes makes sense to switch to Red, sometimes it doesn't. While the Red cartridges are beautiful and work great, they just aren't worth the premium compared to the Force. Weight savings aside, the 1170/Force offers everything Red has to offer in terms of performance. When you pair this cartridge with a 52/36 aspect ratio, you can't get past almost anything. Personally, I haven't come across a single climb where this cassette doesn't give me more than enough range to comfortably

Pros
  • Solid design
Cons
  • Damaged

Replaced 11-34 Shimano with it with no problems

I bought this to have a lower gear on my gravel bike, a different comp with Praxis 48-32 cranks and a long cage Ultegra derailleur and 11 34 Shimano Cassette. These cranks and derailleurs are nominally within the maximum reach of the rear derailleur (34 teeth) and also match Shimano's chain capacity. However, I was able to install it without changing the chain length (i.e. adding two links to accommodate the extra two prongs) or making any other adjustments. The front derailleur easily handlesโ€ฆ
