📐 Staedtler Mars 571 French Curves Set - 3 Shapes Included (57140WP) Review

Should be part of every artist/designer's toolbox. If you need precise, sharp lines that aren't straight, this set is for you.

They've been a great addition to my sewing workshop. They're not thin at all, they're thick, with nice beveled edges that prevent the marker's ink from smearing the paper. I just wish they were graduated in metric. Outstanding quality, as you would expect from Staedtler.

I wish I had studied art more in school because creating shapes with it is amazing. They are very durable, easy to clean, and have "ridges" around the edges that help keep your pen/marker/pencil right where it needs to be without skipping or skipping over the device. Enjoy!

Has a wide range of bend radii so you have a good chance of finding the right shape. One downside is that they're largely one-sided. If you turn them over, a sunken edge will appear, making your drawing tool less accurate. Don't drop it either. I dropped mine on the garage floor from waist height and it snapped.

Like most Staedtler items, they work great and feel great. However, do not drop them on a very flat floor. Mine landed beveled side down and I couldn't pick it up lol. The back of them is completely flat, and because of the bevel I couldn't lift them - I took a razor and was able to slip it under one edge and lift it high enough to grab hold of. I was annoyed, laughed and at the same time impressed by the quality.
