Great but not quite perfect

I use it in my home brewery. It has multiple uses, but the keg washer is not one of them. A ball almost as big as the hole in the sled will not fit in. However, it works great in fermenters and mash tuns.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

No moving parts: fittings

I tried the rotating head first, but without a more powerful pump than I wanted to use for cleaning, it was not reliable in rotation. A relative of a commercial winemaker said he prefers fixed head cleaning heads because nothing tends to stick, so I bought this head and it works great with my existing pump.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • small things

Using a low pressure atomizer for brewing.

I haven't used this aerosol can for brewing yet, but I did a quick performance experiment anyway. I screwed it onto my 1/2 NPT faucet and tested it at various pressures. I wanted to use this to recycle wort at relatively low pressure. I am very happy with its performance. I've tried this with a coarser mortar and got poor results. My first attempt caused too many channels through the grain layer. It looks like it sprinkles lightly onto the grains without going through them.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
