I love these straws! Saw Oprah with metal straws and decided to give it a try. The best purchase I could make. I have a lot of plastic straws because none of them work well. They're great for smoothies and anything you drink. My ice water stays so cold my brain freezes if I go too fast.

I cut this mug to fit a mug whose plastic straw had become dusty from bending too much. The new one works fine, but the rattling bothered me. metal on metal. Didn't expect that. I put some car tape in several places and now the installation is nice and quiet. Straw also falls into the trap. Good. chaos

My wife convinced me to stop using traditional straws to protect the environment. I'm not sure I'll help that much, but I like the stainless steel option better. It is almost indestructible and can be easily cleaned with a special brush. The only improvement I could suggest to the manufacturer is to tilt the long end of the straw instead of leaving it flat to make sucking easier. I took a hacksaw with me and it made it a lot easier to use.
