Avoid this product. The metal is not thick enough to prevent deformation when handling foods such as steaks or grilled chicken. The material looks like thin aluminum that curls very easily. Consider Messer Meister products instead. I have an old pair of pliers of this brand that turned out to be beyond description. Today I have a longer pair of master knives. I will post a review. I bought these for my husband to grill. He really LOVES her! They're long enough, but not too long, so they don't get hot/burn on the grill. He really likes the locking mechanism because when his hands are busy he can use his teeth to pull the tab at the end to lock it. lol Serrated edges are great for handling all types of food. Food won't slide and the flatter edges won't tear food. I compared many pliers before I bought them. We are very, very happy with this product.
