great product for fasteners

I like these torque screws, they don't break like Phillips screws. I can drive 3" in 2 2x4's with almost no effort, like 3" drywall screws the bit doesn't pop out either.

Pros
  • T-25 STAR DRIVE - Allows high torque driving and prevents cam fall out. It is also more aesthetically pleasing than a cross or square shank and offers a degree of tamper resistance.
Cons
  • Out of fashion

pre-drill holes!

PRE-DRILL HOLES! These screws will break if you don't pre-drill the holes. I'm not connecting dots because I think that's a sign of all stainless steel screws, not the quality of these screws.

Pros
  • TYPE 17 POINT - Allows the screw to catch wood chips as it is driven into wood, allowing for a smooth and quick installation.
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Wood screws aren't sharp at all

The color is great for my application. This caused a lot of extra work because the tips are so blunt. You MUST have pilot holes drilled for each screw. It was incredibly tiring as I only have one exercise. I had to keep changing drill bits. I have the top brand in gold and they bite right away.

Pros
  • POINTS - Four ribs under the screw head cut through the top layer of material during fastening and help ensure a flush connection with the countersunk head in even the toughest woods.
Cons
  • High price
