WRONG SIZE: Parts

I bought a 4" Diamond Eye exhaust system, fits very well and was wanting to use a new clamp to connect the exhaust manifold, this clamp is very good quality BUT it is almost an inch too small to fit the To lead threads, I spent 4 hours (I've been an industrial mechanic for 25 years) pulling all the tricks out of my bag, if you can't stretch it it won't work, the OEM original made the connection in 15 minutes , SUPER frustrating ! the rest of the exhaust system was done in an hour , sounds great

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Requires bushing

I used these on a CAT C15 Twin Turbo with it's original pipes, all the original clamps were burnt out. Requires a couple of clamps for 4" pipe, 5" pipe. These clips are quite strong and I only used 2 of the 6 I ordered. 2 shiny new "4" clips have been used in place of the original 5" clips. The two 5" clips are just over 6" in diameter, the 4" clips are just over 6" in diameter 5 in. $150 for parts I don't use.

Pros
  • Positive only
Cons
  • Negative present

Locknut is binding causing bolt to pop

After driving my car for 1.5 years I decided to remove the clamp to replace the down pipe. This is the second time the yoke has been removed - the locking nut must have nylon fiber or other fasteners that cannot withstand the heat that will bind in the nut and subsequently cause the bolt to break when the yoke is removed. Warranty not valid. Mentioned somewhere in the ad - I expect years of service from a stainless steel clamp! I'll buy a Vibrant replacement for another $5. There's no reason…

Pros
  • Build quality
Cons
  • Vulgarity
