🔪 Slice, Dice, and Garnish with the Stainless Straight Garnish Cutter Cutting Tool Review

My friends and I made quite a large batch of soap for their daughter's upcoming wedding reception the other night and I bought this along with a few other items to make things easier. Both cutters worked well and cut the soap cleanly with little effort. To be honest we couldn't decide which we liked better, the foldable or the smooth cutter, so we went with half and half. They were easy to use and worked very well.

Unfortunately, this is another "you get what you pay for" case. The first thing that struck me was that the product image and what I received (especially for the shaft cutter) were not the same. The cutter I received obviously had cheap spot welds holding the cutting blade to the handle. The photo in the ad shows stronger rivets. I knew it was only a matter of time before they gave up. This "time" was about 6 weeks of moderate use. As you can see in the picture it just detached from the handle…

I really don't know what everyone is complaining about. The product corresponds to the description and the quality of both knives is excellent! Both are close in quality to the straight blade soap dish I bought from Revain for 11.20 and are of fairly high quality. For a straight blade cutter, the blade is 3 inches long, good thickness (1mm to be exact) and good quality (damn stainless steel!). It does not bend under heavy pressure.
