Not easy with them

Difficult to remap without ducking. Requires me to press keys before the broadcast starts. The quality seems to be good.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Pan, pan, pan! fits marine electronics

Perfect replacement for my VHF boat. I was impressed with the ease of installation, use and quality of this radio. It was an inexpensive purchase of very important equipment. Good business.

  • Decent performance
Cons

Measure before you buy - excellent seller

I will write about the seller in more detail. We thought it would fit in our son-in-law's boat radio slot, but it didn't. The seller was fantastic and we were able to return the item. I wish it fit, the radio looked great.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Speed

Good radio in marine electronics

Excellent radio. Works well, control panel is decent. The speaker volume can be increased for use in noisy environments, but the existing volume is sufficient for use in boats and vehicles. Dual channel is a great feature.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Empty

Good Price Marine Radio

Radio works great so far. You need to clear the SSMI notification every time you turn on the device. Also, I keep getting a low battery notification, but I have a new boat with new batteries so I don't know what's going on there. FYI you will need an external speaker. Without them, it's hard to hear when the engine is running.

  • Pleasant

Excellent radio, marine radios

Fantastic radio seems to have long range when paired with a Shakespearean antenna (I did a lot of reading and chose an 8ft antenna) . You don't need to buy the most expensive antenna, but you do need to buy antennas that are appropriate for your type of boat. I installed it on an 18ft Lund Alum fishing boat and selected the connector for soldering rather than soldering. At the same time, I'm pretty smart, and soldering is useless to me. I spent just over $200 between the radio and antenna. I…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Great radio for inland lakes

I bought this radio to communicate with fishing buddies while on vacation fishing in Canada's great shield lakes where texting and calling doesn't work. The radio works great, we were talking over seven miles away and hearing others over 10 miles away albeit intermittently. on the water. In addition I bought a 4-foot Shakespeare 5401-XT antenna. The combination works great. The radio/antenna has been in my boat for about a year - works great.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Some issues
