MAP sensor on MAP

My OBD scanner told me to replace it when my check engine light came on. That was on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with a 5.7 Hemi. The old sensor is a PAIN to reach and then remove. As soon as I connected a new one, the display on the dashboard went blank, the code disappeared.

Pros
  • Nice to use

Easy to install: Sensors

Easy to install. I thought it was OEM for my Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 4.0L but it's not an OEM product. It works, but the engine still stalls while driving, so this is either a bad thing or some other issue, I'm not sure. UPDATED from 3 stars to 2 because the car keeps dying after 4 1/2 months of use at lower speeds. Ordered another OEM.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Almost never

The part required a minor and insignificant modification to the manifold which I was aware of prior to purchase. However, the connection interface also had to be modified as the old distributor was pushed into the connector and this new part was designed to slide on top. I decided to cut off a part to fit my connector just in case I have to go back to the old part. Looks pretty intimidating, but it seems to work.
