Quality Coil for GM 3.8L Engines

This is a quality replacement coil for GM 3800 engines I've bought several for various cars, they're a lot cheaper than the parts store and last just as long. This coil pack does not include mounting screws. With these motors it is important that the mounting screws are clean and provide a good ground for the coil pack. If you have corrosion I recommend buying new mounting bolts.

Works perfectly and is great value

Not sure of durability as I just received and installed it. Fast delivery Revain, the product corresponds to the description. It arrived and I immediately set about installing it. I had to use an elimination process (I really need to invest in a tester). When I found the defective coil, it immediately caught fire and ran like a top. I'll give him some time to see how long this takes. If it lasts long I'll definitely be ordering 3 more. For the price you can't go wrong as it's 1/3 the price at…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Apparently they can now be made in Poland

I've had a few GM cars with 3800 and 3400 engines The Standard Ignition DR39T coils I've bought in the past were made in Taiwan . They appeared to be of good quality and looked and fit like an OEM. The last batch of DR39T coils I bought had "Made in Poland" written on the box but "Made in Taiwan" was written on the coil. You look the same as always. My guess is that if they are indeed made in Poland, Standard Ignition moved the assembly line from Taiwan to Poland. I'm curious if Standard…

Bought 2, only 1 will fit

TL;DR chasing random misfires on 4/6 cylinders, no air leaks, no spark plugs, no spark plug wires. So I bought two of these to replace 4 cylinders. From the packaging only 1 fits the ICM connectors, the other doesn't fit at all, it's the correct part, it just doesn't match the connectors. Thought it might just be very tight tolerances, swapped out two other coil packs, trying to find one that matched the wrong ones. Instant failure, I didn't want to risk damaging a $250 ICM just to try and…

Made in Taiwan, boxed. 10 minute install for all three and one big difference. The car stumbled and couldn't drive but they happened sporadically, last time was 4 months ago so I replaced them as they broke over time. The big difference in the beginning - almost immediately - is something I forgot as everything fades away. The next thing I noticed was how quickly it accelerated. I replaced the connectors (which were over 100k and the wires before with no significant difference). I'm curious if…

1 year warranty and expect nothing more

I have an old Buick with a 3800 Series 1 engine. I checked the coils and one of them didn't fire as hard as the other two. So I bought this DR39T to replace it. Good: It solved my problem. After installation, the check engine light went out and the car ran perfectly again. The Bad: Only lasted a year and a half, about 10,000-12,000 miles. This part has a one-year warranty, so technically it worked. beyond the warranty period, but hardly meets the minimum expectations for me, especially given…
