Review on Enhanced Performance DR39T Ignition Coil by Standard Motor Products by Robert Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Apparently they can now be made in Poland

I've had a few GM cars with 3800 and 3400 engines The Standard Ignition DR39T coils I've bought in the past were made in Taiwan . They appeared to be of good quality and looked and fit like an OEM. The last batch of DR39T coils I bought had "Made in Poland" written on the box but "Made in Taiwan" was written on the coil. You look the same as always. My guess is that if they are indeed made in Poland, Standard Ignition moved the assembly line from Taiwan to Poland. I'm curious if Standard Ignition will move most of its production to Poland. Perhaps Poland will become the next industrial power in the world.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
