Buy OEM sensors! Not this garbage!

By not shifting to the right, the transmission downshifted too early, especially at higher speeds. It had an incorrectly calibrated threshold, and the computer couldn't properly determine the accelerator pedal's position. Original Mopar fixed it for $57, it was like flipping a switch. Don't make it difficult for yourself, buy OEM. This gave me a really big headache and made quite a few bucks that created new problems while I tracked down the stop problem. Garbage.

Pros
  • One year probationary period
Cons
  • Everything fine

Worked for 6 months

This TPS worked for 6 months then I started installing the TPS code on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Local Midas told me that quite often TPS fail instantly. I then bought another one from Advance Auto and so far so good. Not discounting the possibility that I may have additional issues or a vacuum or line leak, but so far it looks like this TPS replacement is bad. I did not run voltage tests on the failed TPS. If and when I will update the review.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Useless functions

Fixed a bug that caused my jeep not to shift into high gear.

My jeep would not upshift when accelerating to higher speeds. After checking online what the problem could be, I decided to replace this sensor. Of course, those stupid clips that Chrysler uses broke when the old one was removed, but I put a new one in and the shifting problem was fixed immediately. I've had it for about 6 weeks now and it's still working fine. If it breaks soon I will update my review. Very good price, I just hope it lasts.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

OE quality replacement

Replaced throttle position sensor after mine started throwing a DTC. This is an OE quality factory replacement. The processing quality is in no way inferior to the original. The exchange is easy; Remove the wiring harness (do not forget the red bracket), unscrew the 2 torx screws (be careful. They are most likely slightly rusted and can be ripped off over time), remove the old block and replace it with a new one. Replaced and reset codes and all is well; no problem to date 0.3 months and…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Lot
