Will not fit 2000 Ford Focus

This lock was a waste of time and money on my 2000 Focus - you can't lock it yourself and the remote control key you have to use (supplied with blunt key), not suitable.Save your time and money and buy a Strattec kit for the same price - I ended up doing that, just wish I could do more research first and not pay twice!

Will not fit 2000 Ford Focus

This lock cylinder was a waste of time and money on my 2000 Focus - you can't lock it yourself and the remote key you need (it comes complete with a blunt key) doesn't fit. Save time and money and buy a Strattec kit for the same price - I ended up doing that, just wish I could do more research first and not pay twice!

I actually bought this exact part number from another store but the remote control keys didn't work with my 1999 Cougar. The keys supplied with this lock cylinder are 8-pin keys, not original 10-pin keys. I was able to adapt this ignition lock cylinder to my doors. The first six positions on the key, starting from the base, are for doors. The last seven for the ignition. This means that the first three pins (or plates) of the ignition lock cylinder are aligned with the last three door lock…
