Not Square: Carpenter's Square

Not quite square. Relatively easy to fix, but I don't have to. It's plastic. Just get the right form and it should be perfect every time they make it.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Thin

Very useful tool

I have been using the gray 46-060 tool in my shop for over 20 years and finally decided I needed a second tool for the house. Any time I'm working with wood or sheet metal, I use this square to measure widths and mark cutting lines. After 20+ years of use, my first Stanley pocket square is like new!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Handy little square

Basically my fault you know the ones who never make it to quit in time. It stays square even when dropped repeatedly from 15 feet onto a concrete slab without chipping. I painted over the numbers and lines with black watercolor, then brushed off the excess and sanded lightly dry. Now it's easier to see with tired old eyes.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
