Not worthy of Stanley

This is not a strong chalk line; I like Stanley Fat Max tools; but it is not good quality. The plastic gears inside fell off after 1 week of use.

Pros
  • Hook storage on board
Cons
  • Minor problems

They just work. for measuring and marking tools

I do a lot of interior walls. They don't bind like others I've used over the past 25 years. Have a good amount of chalk ready. I thought they were no longer on the market and have bought other brands, I will happily come back to these.

Pros
  • quick-release gear ¿ crank does not turn when string is pulled
Cons
  • so-so

Fake genuine product

I bought two, used the first 3 times and the string broke in the middle. The second took a little longer but did the same thing. It's a fake, it doesn't say "extreme" and the string is very poor quality.

Pros
  • Mpn: 47-480L
Cons
  • Nothing here

Not what I paid for, poor quality too.

Extremely paid although it isn't, it's just a metal fatmax. I've had the last one for about 10 years, this is not the same product. false advertising, and now that I finally have the time to use it and find these issues the return window is closing. What is Revain actually doing to protect consumers? The product does not meet the requirements of Stanley products, the handle does not work and chalk comes out of the body everywhere.

Pros
  • Country of manufacture: China
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Not long enough

I have tried 3 chalk boxes in 2 years. They don't last long enough. I found a problem with them. They have a small metal grommet that guides the string in and out. Well, after use, the cord begins to rub against the ear, and the cord begins to fray and get stuck in the box. So you have to take it apart and pull out the thread so it doesn't fray, cut it, retie the hook and everything else, a very messy process. And then it goes on, because the more the loop wears out, the quicker the chalk line…

Pros
  • Stainless steel hook and handle
Cons
  • Some problems

Lemon or just junk?

I am a professional repair carpenter. I just bought two. I was able to use the first box of chalk maybe 25 times in total (over the course of 2 months) before it ended up in the bin. The transmission was difficult to engage from the start. Having never used a Fat Max chalk roller before purchasing this roller, I figured it was just the price you paid for better spinning speed. I was wrong. Things got a little easier just before the gearbox broke: then it became completely unusable. I've never…

Pros
  • Rugged cast aluminum housing
Cons
  • Security
