Stanley is the best

Stanley products are eternal, they are the best. I've bought a few other brands in the past and they just don't hold up as well and don't stay hot as long. I have a large Stanley thermos which my father used regularly and apart from a few scratches and dents on the mug it is in perfect condition. This is of excellent quality. One thing I've noticed that they've really improved is that the mouth is a bit wider so I can put my hand in with a sponge for easier cleaning. They can only be hand…

Works well and needs attention

Something about the crowned, winged bear design suggests strength and dignity, and the retro look and feel of this insulating glass seems to guarantee reliability based on antique craftsmanship. However, there are some practical issues that need to be considered. First off, this glass is a generous 25 oz. capacity, and the metal cup/lid (with plastic liner) holds approximately 1.25 cups. Therefore, of course, the cup must be cleaned before it is returned to the glass. The inner lid also has a…

Almost Perfect (suggested pressure relief)

My first question about any food can is how easy it is to clean. This jar is designed for hand wash only, but it's not difficult at all to put your hand in (the hole is a little bigger than a regular mason's), the stitching is even. and the shoulder is rounded. The seal can be easily removed and replaced. All is well. Disappointed that the inside of the mug is plastic even though the inside of the glass is stainless steel. The cork has a small pressure relief valve (it is necessary that the…

Doesn't leak, stays hot, lid doesn't fill with water, easy to clean

I have 4 different food jars, all with a folding spoon under the lid. The problem with all of them is that the lids fill with water and there's no way to empty and clean them, so bacteria roams the inside and who knows what ends up in your food. This one is sealed well, I wet and shook the lid and nothing got inside. Plastic lid with sealed one-way pressure relief valve and silicone gasket. The metal mug with plastic interior and lid is dishwasher safe, while the seamless stainless steel…

This Stanley food tin is perfect for work and travel.

Hello... I have been a fan of Stanley Thermos for many years and my family has been very fortunate with their products. From the glass-lined Thermos coffee carafe in our kitchen (which still looks and works great) to my green hammer-sized 1.5 liter "bottle", these thermoses all work very well. Like the newest addition to my/our collection, the food can. Here's how... With a 24 ounce capacity, I find the food jar holds the perfect amount for a hot lunch. A jar of food is slightly wider than a…

Good quality. Hot keep warm for 10 hours. dents easily.

First of all, I love its retro style! It's painted the vintage green that Stanley is known for. Probably our grandfathers carried such a food thermos to work in the 1940s. Although the container is stamped "Since 1913" it has been sold many times since then. In 2002 the brand name was bought by a venture capital firm based in Seattle, Washington and in 2002 all production was quickly moved to China. Heritage brands are more popular now so I like their look and color scheme. Stanley invented the
