Good replacement kit for Coleman tent door posts

It fits perfectly on the door of my 10 person Coleman tent with no adjustment required. I ended up taping the rubber plugs in place so they don't get stuck in the tent every time. It's a bit stiffer than stock sticks.

  • Confident
Cons
  • Mostly good but...

Not just for tent repairs!

I organize a few meetings - for concerts etc., I get on a bit and make a complaint, then I hang a red flag on a pole and tie it in a curve to my chair. Even with 3 pieces it is very visible and then I can fold it up and put it in the trunk along with my quilt and chairs!

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Something's wrong

Well made and easy to repair tent.

I used it to replace a broken tent pole. The diameter matched my (very) old broken rod exactly. Since it's longer than it needs to be, it was easy to cut it to length to match the old one. Padding was an easy task thanks to the included elastic cord. So glad I was able to find this product. Now the tent is like new.

Pros
  • There's something there
Cons
  • Almost everything is in there

What I needed: Spare parts

Bought to fix a children's tent. Everything was easy to deal with. Take your time cutting them through if you need a short length so the end doesn't split too much. I used extra parts to build a flagpole for my bike trailer instead of buying one. A few zip ties later and I'm impressed. There's just enough flex to succumb to the wind without breaking.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Lots of things

This is what is advertised

Several reviews have made me concerned about what I am buying here but I got exactly what was advertised. Namely, four 25.5 inch sections of 7mm diameter fiberglass rods. I measured them with calipers and tape before even opening the box. I only needed three sections and cut them to the right length. No problem. I used two end caps, two connectors and a shock cable. So the kit was all I needed with some spare parts. I'm a lucky tourist.

Pros
  • fingers crossed
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Just what I need to extend the life of my tent

These replacement pole parts work very well to replace the split parts in my 25 year old tent. However, it was difficult to thread the rubber band through the small holes with the metal tool included in the kit. I ended up threading a heavy needle through each section, tied it to a rubber band, and ran the rubber band through each section, a technique similar to the technique electricians use to pull wires. The price seemed a little high for what was included in the kit: four interchangeable…

  • Complete set

Almost exactly what I needed.

Almost what I needed. I couldn't find a smaller diameter tent pole and had to settle for this one. The ends fit snugly in the tent's pockets so they stay inside when I take it apart and I have to remember to take them off and re-attach them to the poles, but I was stuck and needed this ASAP . Note to other buyers: Depending on your needs, you may need to shorten the posts to the desired length. This can easily be done with a hacksaw if you have one handy, but I've managed to get by with a…
