When buying a thermostat I ALWAYS go for a quality name brand thermostat because it's not much more expensive than a premium thermostat and it's well worth the labor to replace a faulty one not to become cheaper. Stan is number one for me.

Great product installed with Dorman 902-306 heat resistant housing. That is 72 degrees Celsius compared to the standard 95.ECT. The temperature dropped from 108 degrees Celsius to 99 degrees Celsius. Working and happy with it.

When I usually change the thermostats on my cars, I usually go to Autozone or a parts store and buy "Premium" 160* types, but they never seem 160* on my 94 F150 XLT, the pointer , to withstand is usually between "n" and "o" in a (normal) word.
