Works great in my 2018 Ram 5.7

This is my second ram but my first has a 180 degree thermostat. Two different. This stand seems to be the best. It keeps the temperature at 185 degrees. Sneaks only when moving WOT or heavy traffic. For the price unbeatable.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Appearance

Better than ztock 203

You need a tune to turn down the fan temp or you're just wasting your time and money, very easy to install, I recommend a reset before installing, I have the fan temp on 183 set and 185, and my pace is on average 181 c 185 o 168 t. And it's in 90 degrees with stop and go and heavy acceleration

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Was damaged

Quality part!: Engine cooling and air conditioning

Replaced the 203F thermostat on a 2012 Ram 5.7L with this 180F. Also did a fan removal. The engine runs at about 184°F under normal load and idling in a 100+F outside temperature in Texas. Under full load the engine reaches 198-200F. Gasoline consumption has gone down. I'll update this review once I change the thermostat to 190F out of curiosity.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Very expensive

MUCH COOLER STEPS GREAT!

Wow! Doesn't matter! The Ram Hemi runs cooler, quieter and smoother on those hot Texas 105F days! It was the best solution for engines with temperatures over 220F! My 2009 TRX4 Hemi 5.7 RAM with 256,000 miles runs like new! No burnt oil smell, cold air conditioning and less fuel consumption! IT IS A MUST-HAVE! GET RID OF THAT 203F FACTORY THERMOSTAT TODAY! At least in mild and hot climates. FL TX AZ NV

Works great on a 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L

Replaced the water pump on my 2013 Ram 1500 5.7L. Decided to replace the thermostat while standing. The OEM calls for a 203 degree thermostat but found it too hot so I watched some YouTube videos of others replacing the 180 degree thermostat. I then decided on this one. It fits perfectly, no leaks and the truck runs stably at 185 degrees with no engine problems.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Negative moment present

This thermostat sometimes sticks

I'm not very happy that after a few months of running I noticed that it sticks. Sometimes the temperature rises to 215 and then suddenly returns to 190. The temperature seems to fluctuate back and forth, suggesting it's not opening and closing smoothly. I ran one of these a few years ago and it did exactly the same thing. The engine overheated while driving and then suddenly went back to normal. I traveled and stopped at Autozone and bought and installed a Duralast. One problem solved. I will…

Excellent thermostat, good for engine cooling and air conditioning

Good thermostat, runs much cooler. For people who don't know, as I've seen some less than reasonable reviews, if you adjust this without changing the fan temp in the computer, all you'll see is cooler temps on the freeway without towing anything. The pre-programmed fan temperature in the computer will remain the same regardless of the thermostat setting unless you change the fan temperature using the tuner. When towing and idling, you won't notice any difference from a stock thermostat. I set…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Minor issues

180° thermostat cools your hemi

180° thermostat keeps your hemi cool. The stock thermostat in my 2013 Ram 5.7 Hemi is 203° and on a hot day in traffic I often see 220° or more until the backup electric fan kicks in OR I turn on the AC which turns on the backup fan. at 180° the truck goes straight 185° and in traffic gives it much more time to reach that peak at over 220°. even with 180° from oil temperature to transponder temperature, it runs much cooler across the board. And NO, it will not install a check engine light as…

DO NOT BUY AUTO PARTS ON AMAZON

I bought this thermostat which was supposed to fit a 350cc GM V8 engine. A very common engine. What I got was more than accommodation. A RETURN or EXCHANGE became a TEST that was never resolved, leaving me stuck with an AUTO PART NOT FOR MY VEHICLE. The seller is using a PDF file that is not suitable for a return label. I keep getting an incompatibility message from Explorer and Mozilla. I gave up, the seller SAID that Revain is NOT RELIABLE and often puts the WRONG APP on products. I DID NOT…
