Great price, great product

I have a handheld police scanner that needs an in-line connection Filter on connection to my car's USB port due to signal loss due to noise. Cables with embedded ferrite cores are either expensive or bulky. I bought these to use my existing cable. The price was so low that I bought them. I ended up sticking them on all my cables for external hard drives, DVD burners, FPV goggles, drones, and power supplies for my Raspberry Pi. Approx. 80 cents additional protection against possible noise.

Pros
  • Snap on Ferrite Cores: There are little clips on the core, it can be easily opened and attached to the cable
Cons
  • Price that breaks the piggy bank

Update: I managed to figure out how to install them: use pliers. At first I only tried this with my hands and could not close them on the wire. The pliers are doing their job. Once opened they close with two small latches (with a simple pocket knife) and are VERY difficult to close again. They fit snugly on the center cable wire, but if you "squeeze" them with pliers, they work great. Warning: It's (fairly) easy to break the magnets, but be careful.

Pros
  • For 11mm cables; Includes: 10*11mm Ferrite Core Ring
Cons
  • Expensive

I was hearing a very strong hissing/humming from my PC speakers, especially when using 3D applications. I found that my onboard audio was picking up interference from my graphics card, so the static noise tripled when running something graphics-intensive. Adding it to my audio cable reduced the noise drastically. It didn't completely eliminate the hiss (I really have to crank the volume up to still hear a slight buzz), but there's no buzz from 0-70% of the master volume. I usually listen 50%…

Pros
  • Well made and good quality: Made of plastic case and ferrite core, can last a very long time
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
