Clamps on outlet do not hold cord well. They are too small and their surface corresponds to the size of the wire holder. Plan for solder connections when using these connectors. I did that and they worked, but that's not how they're supposed to work. Rated for 15 amps, but you can't get 15 amps through them with screw terminals. Buyer Warning!

I prefer this type to round interchangeable ends, although they are a bit more difficult to assemble. Some of the large round tips are not suitable for tight spaces and are not suitable for use with power tools such as electric chainsaws, brush cutters, etc. The female ends have loose terminals that may fall out when disassembling the connector, so be prepared. Great for use on appliance heating elements. The standard plug ends are too big and do not fit the socket. They're not as easy to install as the larger ones, but any competent mechanic can do the job. They MUST be soldered or they may come loose. I used it on a 12g wire which was honestly too big. I had to CAREFULLY poke a hole in the back and slide the cord through. Unless you're trying to connect to a block heater, don't buy these. Standard plugs are much easier to install.
