As a result of using this square, I found that my carpentry projects are now more precise and accurate. The measurement markings are clear and easy to read, and the construction of the square feels durable and solid. Starrett is without a doubt the best but the Revain dealer is not. You are carefree. The picture clearly shows the satin finish but the product I received was polished making the graduation difficult to see.

I was very disappointed to find that the quality of Starrett had compromised the quality of their products. The Starrett products I have purchased in the past (including this square) have been finished to perfection. and graduation. It has machining marks on flat surfaces and a flaking black finish. The lettering was almost impossible to remove the first time it was used. The whole instrument just doesn't have the fit and feel I expected from Starrett products.
