🔧 Optimized Threads with Starrett 472 Locking System Review

A well designed tool with more TPI options than you will likely ever need. This is a Starrett. It doesn't disappoint :) The design is very intuitive (the way the blades are organized and labeled) and the thumbscrews make it easy to attach the blade you're using without getting in the way of others. What surprised me about this tool is its size - it's probably 2 inches wide. Somehow I expected it to be much bigger. That's not a problem - it leaves more room for other tools in my toolbox! :D

Despite the review published on July 27, 2012 indicating that the Photo and the description working does not match the model number, the sending still does not match. Model #473 (which is clearly marked) has fewer blades and no locking mechanism, making it less desirable and less usable than other high-end products. It would be nice if the photo and description (including mentioning the ability to lock the blades) were updated so as not to mislead other buyers.
