Description of Exploring the Starrett C396 Whitworth English Standard: A High-Performance Precision Measurement Tool

Extremely handy for use in grinding and setting screw cutting tools. Very useful for finding number of threads per inch through graduations in 1/14", 1/20", 1/24" and 1/32" of an inch on center gauge. Made of spring-tempered steel with satin chrome finish. Ground gauging surfaces. Center gauge with inch graduations.

Disappointing results from dimension tool

As a result of using this product, I found that it was quite a disappointment. Despite being marketed as an "Industrial and Scientific" tool for dimensional measurement, it did not deliver accurate results. The only pro was that it seemed well-made, but that hardly matters when it can't do its primary job properly. The cons far outweighed any positives, as it ultimately proved to be a waste of time and money. Save yourself the hassle and look for a better alternative.

Pros
  • Accurate measurement for Whitworth English Standard.
Cons
  • Not suitable for measuring other types of standards.

This means that it is probably the best workmanship

This is a sensor and is made in the USA by an American company! This means it's probably the best quality! And after using this tool. I think that works best!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Staret does it again!

Sarett? Do I have to say more? This is said to work with a 55 degree British thread, which is a bit uncommon here in the US. However, it is absolutely necessary for the production of tools for cutting or tapping on a lathe.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear
