Starrett Graduation NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate Review

At first I thought it was a good tool. Dropped them about 6-8 inches on the workbench in the first 3 days. They are NOT resettable, they cannot be opened for reclocking. When closed, zero equals plus or minus 5 thousandths. If you don't mind paying that amount for a measuring tool that is accurate to 10 thousandths of an inch, then go for it. I bought these a few months ago and when I received the micrometer as a gift I noticed it was made in China. It made me reconsider this tool that I haven't used or looked at since I got it.
