Review on Starrett Graduation NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate by Jason Mitts

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Starrett proved to be a huge disappointment. I bought them from Starrett without a scope.

I bought these a few months ago and when I received the micrometer as a gift I noticed it was made in China. It made me reconsider this tool that I haven't used or looked at since I got it. To my surprise and chagrin, it's made in China and it's too late to return it. Also plastic parts in there and it doesn't hold the zero point properly. Starrett proved to be a huge disappointment. I bought them from Starrett without seeing them, not even surprised that they might be made in China and of poor quality. Too bad I returned the micrometer and will sell this one and replace it with Mitutoyo. I would rather do it in Japan than in China.
