This is a great product, a replacement for your old worn out product.

This is a great replacement for your old worn out Pentium heatsink. Such items are difficult to find. I had an error, it was a Dell Optiplex computer and the Dell fan headers are non-standard, proprietary. When I found that the female fan connector did not match the male connector on the motherboard of this Dell Small Form Factor PC, I had to search the internet for a conversion cable that would adapt the standard fan connector to a Dell branded motherboard. Interconnects. After I did that and…

Fits Retro Socket 7 Mainboard

I was able to use this fan with a Pentium MMX 233 processor without any problems with size or other chips sticking out of the socket. Their price is a bit high but the quality of the heatsink is fantastic. I give it four stars because the fan hums a bit. Make sure you have some way to control the fan speed, otherwise it will be very fast and loud, which is to be expected for such a small device. Even when I was able to regulate the RPM as slowly as possible, the coil whine was still there. I…

Great quality for the price

Pros: Very quiet Very small Easy to install Cons: Thermal grease has come off This fan is not for hardcore gamers or video editors. The cooling of this fan is probably only sufficient for normal surfing on the Internet/office work. But for what it is and the price you pay, it's fantastic. I ended up returning mine and bought a Zalman CNPS8900 because of the larger fan and better cooling performance (about 10-15 degrees Celsius difference). Oh, and don't forget to crush the thermal paste pack…

Bad experience with this product

I've been trying to install this product in my mobile phone for several days. Although both are standard and the holes and latches match it's impossible to do this, it's just awful that the plastic latches never fit the mobo holes properly. I managed to fit 3 of them but never made it to the 4th. The mechanism for this is terrible, the design from this point of view is terrible. The fan has a 3-pin connector...why? Why are you doing this with a 3 pin connector? Most mobile devices have 4-pin…

Stop an old soldier!

If you have an older system with a Socket 7 or Socket 370 processor, you will likely need one of these fans one day. (Especially for Socket 7 processors as they don't have built in thermal monitoring/protection features so a faulty fan will cause damage.) In my case I replace the fan on some older Intel Pentium 100/AMD K5 systems and it works for me . Be sure to check the height clearance of your old CPU fan before ordering - some motherboards/cases may have the HDD mounted above the CPU, in…
