I was able to use this fan with a Pentium MMX 233 processor without any problems with size or other chips sticking out of the socket. Their price is a bit high but the quality of the heatsink is fantastic. I give it four stars because the fan hums a bit. If you have an older system with a Socket 7 or Socket 370 processor, you will likely need one of these fans one day. (Especially for Socket 7 processors as they don't have built in thermal monitoring/protection features so a faulty fan will cause damage.)
