This is a lot better than the dual molex solution I own - it's a lot less hassle and a lot safer. My dual molex cable also proved to be of much lower quality - its pins are ridiculously easy to disconnect from their molex sockets. (Of course, you'll need a 6-pin PCI-E power cable connector for this.) It doubles as a power strip, considering it's a 6+2 solution. My Sapphire ATI Radeon 3850 AGP uses an 8-pin PCI-E connector. I use this and this here and now and bought another in that order. Such…

Low cost solution

My old computer that became a cell phone for a friend with worse financial situation than me, running two GTX 470 cards with two 6 pin power connectors. Every single one of those power supplies by design proved to be a problem when I recently had a 'new' used GTX-770 graphics card (v-mem. 4GB version) that required two 8-pin power connectors. That's when I started looking for a solution, this solution (buying two of these cable converters) seemed cheaper to me than just buying a new power…

Ideal for converting an early 2009 Mac Pro 4.1 from 6-pin to 8-pin.

Upgrading an old Mac Pro with an SSD and the best old graphics card I had (amd HD5850) was a breeze with this cable. The 5850 had 6-pin and 8-pin power connectors. but i only had 2 6 pin cables for gtx 285 so i was looking for an adapter. this is connected to my graphics card 6pin and 8pin and now the Mac works with a 2GB graphics card and a Kingston SSD. New life for my Mac and

There was a problem, now there isn't.

Was disappointed when I upgraded two of my computers and found that my old but perfectly working model only had six outlets for a new or used graphics card too old. I found a device on YouTube that would solve my problem. Good OL' Revain came to my aid. This item worked as advertised and powered the graphics card and now my old computer runs with much better graphics.
