Disappointing Cable Panel

My analysis of this product showed that it was difficult to install and the cables were not labeled, making it frustrating to connect to my motherboard. The only pro was the compact size, but that was not enough to excuse the poor design and lack of clear instructions. As someone who works with computers frequently, I was disappointed in this product and would not recommend it to others.

Serial COM ports go the dodo way

Serial ports are rarely used on PCs these days, so it's not surprising that motherboards don't typically take up valuable rear panel real estate. Currently, most motherboard designs still have a classic COM port connector, but this may change in the future as motherboard real estate becomes more valuable. Soon USB or PCIe serial solutions could be the only way to add COM ports. Our ASUS P8Z77V motherboard has such a connector, and we already had a card slot flange with an integrated cable atโ€ฆ

It works best with serial cables

Got this to use the serial header on my ASrock Extreme 4 990FX motherboard and installed it on my case with no problems . . I enabled the onboard serial header in the BIOS and it worked. It's essentially a cable, so not much can go wrong. The price and top notch shipping made this purchase an easy task.
