I used to try non standard cables that were recommended to me (5 stars, best choice) but now I don't. I'll stick with Startech cables and cases. I have yet to return the Startech cable, be it Display Port cable, USB-C cable, USB adapter cable, etc. Startech cables are USB certified. This is very important when choosing a cable. In the early days of USB-C cables, there were many suspicious proposals that ended in grief (and even fire and destruction of electronics).

Really works to charge and enable iTunes backup and sync for the new USB-C port Apple iPad Pro 12"- and 11" models. If charging does not work at first, replace the wall adapter.

You usually can't go wrong with StarTech.com products, and this cable is no exception. It's a lot thicker than the Sausung OEM cable that came with my Galaxy S8. Hopefully this is due to better shielding and/or thicker conductors. When you coil the cable it tends to bend into nice wide bends as opposed to the tight, twisted bends that an OEM cable is capable of.
