I lost the data cable to my Garmin GPS. I urgently needed to update the maps. I had a compatible charging cable, but no updates were transferred. My brick-and-mortar searches at Target, Walmart, and BestBuy were unsuccessful. I finally found Revane. I am pleased to report that the data cable updated the data on my Garmin GPS very well. I am very pleased! The price was more than reasonable.

This is an inexpensive way to dramatically improve the sound of any setup. Available in a variety of sizes so you can attach them directly over speaker wire and/or power cords. If you're having trouble with feedback or buzzing, be sure to try this inexpensive option first before taking more drastic action.

Description mentions 5 pin connectors so assume all pins are connected. no The ID pin is not connected to anything. If you don't need this pin, a cable is probably fine. The ID pin can usually be connected to ground through a resistor of a certain value, so the connected device knows what's on the other end. For example, some Garmin GPS navigators use this to determine if the mode is charging/navigation or data transfer.

Instead of buying this cable at a reasonable price instead of paying 400% more for what they should produce! Better yet, simply use a standard USB to micro cable and wrap it in a flexible wire wrap with a 3.5mm stereo male to male cable for a cleaner installation and unnecessary cable replacements. Save money and do better!

I have replaced all my cigarette lighters with USB ports without thinking of anything else. At home I looked for a USB cable for our Garmin and couldn't find one. It works out!
