These shorts are more like slip shorts. Because they feel like slip material and lace. However they are not see through at all. They are not the thick kind of shorts like bike or yoga shorts, so they don’t provide any support.

I own several brands of slip shorts and these are one of my favorites. They have seaming around the front and a.booty pocket?.on the back. As the description states, these have no compression but are instead worn for anti-chafing or modesty. They do run big though so read the size description carefully. i am a size 12 in pants so purchased a large and realized I should have sized down. They are not loose but I think I will go with a smaller size when I re-purchase.

I used the measurement chart provided, and these were just way too large on me. Like hanging loose and falling off. :( Boo! I have to return them.

I emailed the company for sizing assistance and ordered their recommended size for my measurements since I was between sizes.The shorts are huge, like old fashion bloomers. These really work! Tried other products and still had issues. Rinse out great and dry fast in a sink for European travel so I could wear sundresses and be cool. Not too hot either. Highly recommend and bought 2!

I had heard from some others that the Undersommars was the way to go to wear under dresses in the heat to avoid chafing. I was a bit skeptical until I tried them! They are really light and ailky but not in a 'stocks to your skin' kind of way. I am looking forward to getting lots of use out of these and purchasing other colors (I got black).

I hate shorts, I love skirts - and I can't live through the summer without these. I've been wearing them for years - they're not hot, they don't bind like shape wear, have the added benefit of giving you a little coverage if your cute summer skirt catches a breeze or you're riding a bike in your skirt, and - most importantly - definitely prevent the dreaded "chub rub". Exactly what I needed! These shorts are a cool, comfortable, secure alternative to a slip. I wore them under a short lightweight cotton dress to a music festival on a hot, humid day. These slip shorts will do the job and are far more comfortable than spanx/shapewear (they also aren't going to suck you in very much either) However, for those that worry about that lovely "swoosh-swoosh" sound as you walk (because hello thighs!), these shorts did not help with that! I ended up returning them and have been searching for a similar pair made from a softer, less-audible material. I could also see the lace trim around the thigh becoming an irritant.

I was reluctant to buy these and purchased other brands for less money. Wore these for 16 hours yesterday in Phoenix (hot and muggy). They did nor creep or shift. I have not been this comfortable in a skirt in decades.

These are great for under dresses. I wear them year-round. They do not hold you in, but prevent chafing and let your skin breathe a little. Only the ones with the lace at the bottom are long enough to work for me and I’m not very tall.

Buy these shorts! They are comfortable, don't roll down at the waist or ride up the thigh. Makes wearing a dress more modest and comfortable

These run a bit large for me, as I like my underwear to fit snugly. This was easily solved by ordering them in a smaller size. I love these, especially in warm weather. Love them!
