Works as intended but my roof rails are a bit big. I only had to disassemble 2 Kitty Korner screws. I can make them a little bigger with Dreamer to fit my splints.

Do not use 1-1/4" square rails (common on pontoons) without longer bolts elsewhere. Thus, the product does not meet the specified requirements for working with railings of this size. This is about 1/4-3/8 inch less than enough to separate. Shit!

Haha. I bought the one you drill into your kayak because I don't always do that. There were no rails before. Then I found this one. No need to drill a hole for future resale value and make sure you can remove it if you wish. These are a lot harder. I wish I had found her sooner.

This product is incorrectly advertised on two accounts. 1. The questions he asks will they work with scotty holders? If you don't, he won't accept Scotty's rod holder rod. 2, THIS WILL NOT FIT 1 1/4" square pontoon rails. The bracket will fit but the 4 screws provided are approx 1/4" shorter. Either the factory in CHINA replaced the bolts with shorter ones, or some terrible designers were behind it.

I bought this to put a flag on the balcony railing of my apartment that is within the recommended diameter limits. To get enough grip on the rail I twisted one of the 4 small fasteners and couldn't remove or install it. The nut will now rotate in the ABS housing rendering the device unusable. I ended up giving up the attachment in favor of some zip ties. I like that it's small, light weight, and made of durable plastic, but I'm not sure the fasteners used are the right size for the build and…
