My daughter got her ears pierced a few months ago. We lost the backs of about three pairs of earrings, which subsequently resulted in those earrings also disappearing. They have a screw down back which helps a lot to keep the earrings from falling out. You just have to be careful not to get them snagged or pulled out by something as they won't come out the same way as earrings with clasps.

I have two cartilage piercings and my holes close up very quickly without earrings. I lost the two I had and quickly ordered them just to get some back in holes, thinking I might take my time finding a better pair later.
